Seeds of Fertility ( Part 2) In the ancient text... the Vedas had one fruit that flourish throughout the Garden of Eden and amongst the fruits of Fertility. In my Ayurvedic writings Seeds for Fertility have been my focus... Here is the next Seed inspiration.
Pomegranates have a sweet profile when first discovering the taste, then leaving a slight astringency at the end. It is tridoshic (balances all three doshas-vata, pitta and kapha); quenches thirst; helps reduce “fire” in the digestive, so It’s perfect for this California Indian summer we are experiencing.
Pomegranate seeds have been the source of fertility for thousands of years, and Philosophers considered this fruit as a symbol of not only fertility but prosperity. The seeds and juice are considered a tonic for the heart, throat and eyes, in addition to being used for a variety of purposes like toning the skin, and firming-up breasts. Packed with antioxidants, it is considered a and also have anti-bacterial activity, the peels contain tannins, which are very powerful astringents.
