Think Rosemary

If there is one thing you can always count on walking into our home... is seeing an assortment of fresh cut flowers, and glass jars filled with dried and fresh herbs.  so when my girlfriend Stacy drove me to the flower farm down the road and across the lake from her place in Ojai, I was pretty excited. loveflower1




Dahlias were the main pickings at the Love House Flower Farm.  Ann who standing on the side of the road as we pulled up, was selling these stunning flowers in front of her home. She graciously welcomed us in when we asked to tour her garden.  Happy butterflies fluttering amongst rows and rows of organic dahlias, with so many varieties to ooh and aah.


With a bundle of Dahlias on hand and a few sprigs of fresh Rosemary, she asked that we share her open house this weekend August 30the-31st.  Friends and Family of Ojai and beyond, go show your local support and buy some of her amazing Dahlias! loveflower4 In truth Rosemary is powerful Herb.  It is known as the memory herb. and if you use Rosemary essential oil, it is quick to improve your thinking skills.

Rosemary has remarkable therapeutic properties, and instilling positive feelings. Many who use rosemary have treated depression, respiratory disorders, pain, inflammation, urinary problems, weak immune system.. and great for treating insect bites.  Since Rosemary is warming herb and can create some heat, It’s best with Vata and Kapha doshas.

If the summer has made you feel a little lethargic, low energy, or perhaps a touch depressed. Get yourself some rosemary oil. Just dab a few drops of oil onto the palm of your hand and inhale the scent. Also, If you feel like getting some of your memory power on, mince up a tablespoon of Rosemary and add it to your meats or sauteed veggies for some added spirit.
